Kisano is a vertical farming company that aims to deliver exceptional, pesticide-free produce within hours of harvest. They cultivate their crops hydroponically, year-round, in indoor vertical farms strategically located in urban centres for a shorter supply chain.
Approach
The brand name, Kisano, originates from the Hindi word for "farmer," reflecting its agricultural focus. The brand identity visually portrays hydroponic farming, emphasising water, minerals, and sustainable practices for year-round crop cultivation and ecological balance. The brand mark depicts 'K' as vertical crop stacks, waves representing water for hydroponics, and dots symbolising minerals. Inspired by indoor hydroponic farms' coloured lights, the colour palette is bright, fresh, and harmonises with the visual ecosystem. Supporting icons and illustrations highlight product categories for web and print applications. Kisano's visual language ensures consistency across platforms, offering flexibility for future brand development.
Detail
Packaging labels are colour-coded for leafy greens, herbs, and vegetables, prioritizing hierarchy and essential information for customers. The sections within the label are complemented by icons that collectively form the brand mark, providing visual clarity. Custom die-cut boxes incorporate the brand mark as air vents, ensuring prolonged shelf life by allowing airflow.
IMPACT
Kisano is rooted in the concept of "the future of food", embracing the notion of simultaneously perceiving both the broader perspective, such as the global food system, environmental sustainability, and societal impact and the individual consumer experience, including freshness, taste, nutrition, and convenience. Kisano believes we are at the forefront of change — Changing the way we eat.
